AEA Colleagues,

Thank you for your membership with the American Evaluation Association. With your support, AEA continues to provide member services ranging from leading journals in the field, to weekly webinars, to training and networking opportunities, to our annual gathering of evaluators from around the country and around the world.

Like other associations, AEA must periodically review its operating costs. As a result, the AEA Board of Directors has instituted an automatic ongoing adjustment to dues for inflation that will take effect January 1, 2013. In addition, the AEA Board has instituted a one-time increase in dues for those who wish to receive the American Journal of Evaluation and New Directions for Evaluation in hardcopy.

This is the first increase in AEA dues in over 10 years. Effective January 1, 2013, dues will increase as follows:

Through December 31

Beginning January 1

Hardcopy + Electronic Journal Access

Between now and December 31, 2012, you have an opportunity to extend your membership at the current rates and you may renew up to one year in advance if you wish. If you renew before January 1, you may choose, or not, to receive your journals in hardcopy at no additional cost. One year will be added on to the end of your current membership.

Simply renew online at or by making a payment on any open membership invoice that you have received, or by calling Heidi in our office at 1-508-748-3326 and providing a MasterCard or Visa number.

If you renew after January 1, 2013, your renewal will be at the higher rates and you will have the option on the renewal forms to indicate whether you wish to receive electronic only or hardcopy access to the two journals carrying AEA's imprimatur.

If you are set up for automatic renewal, and do not choose to renew before January 1, your renewal will be processed at the higher rates and either with or without journals as appropriate to your current selections. For those on auto-renew, we will also send you another reminder before processing your renewal during the month it is due in 2013, to be sure that we have everything right for you.

Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions, comments, or concerns. Again, thank you for your membership and support.
