Greetings!
We at FRBC would like to offer
you a special opportunity this Black Friday-Saturday & Sunday to jumpstart your Christmas and Holiday shopping.
Check out all of our Holiday specials when you come by the store. We are putting many items on sale at steep discounts and everything including the seed will be at least 20 percent off the regular price.
There are a host of many stocking stuffer specials the nature lover in your life will cherish. Christmas ornamants, Seed Wreaths, and No-No Black Oil Sunflower Seed Snowmen are favorites.
As always we at FRBC strive to bring the world of birding to you through our walks and talks series.
We want to invite you to join FRBC's Master Birder Chuck Aid for a bird walk on Sunday, December 2nd, at South Platte Park. We will gather at the Carson Nature Center at 8 AM and explore the surrounding ponds, marshes, and streamside for whatever we can discover.
Most of our winter waterfowl are back, and these are among the most colorful and easiest birds to see. Just this week two Long-tailed Ducks have been in the area.
Also, even though it may seem a bit early the Great-horned Owls are already pairing up and doing some of their "dueting" calls, where the male and female hoot back and forth to each other. During the day we probably won't hear them doing that - though it's possible. Hopefully, though, we can track down an owl near one of their known prior nesting sites. More serious courtship will begin in January, and it can be fun to track the events at a nest from incubation, through the hatching of nestlings, and eventually their first flight.
So, come join us on the 2nd. We will have a few extra pairs of binoculars for those of you not fully equipped as "birders." And, of course, bring adequate clothing, snacks, and water. If the weather is nice, we will plan on being out for a few hours.
Please contact us at the store at 303-979-2473 to sign up. Space is limited so don't delay.
The FRBC SEED VAULT is open this week end and it will be a
great time to

Vault purchases never expire!
