The Rev. David Fyodor Gurniak, 81, died on Monday, April 4, 2016, in Live Oak, FL.
David was a priest of the Episcopal Church in Connecticut and served as the 23rd rector of St. Michael's, Litchfield from 1967-1984. David also served in St. John's North Haven 1996-1998 as well as other parishes in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Janet, and their daughters, Miriam Gurniak and Rachel Easton. He is predeceased by his infant son Timothy David Gurniak and his son-in-law, Charles Witmer.
A memorial services for the Rev. Gurniak will be held at St. Michael's, Litchfield (25 South Street, Litchfield) on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10am.
