Episcopal Youth Event 2017 Announced
The next Episcopal Youth Event (EYE) will be held at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, OK on July 10-14, 2017. EYE17 is being planned by the Episcopal Church in partnership with the Diocese of Oklahoma. "EYE is always a great event for both our youth and for our adults," Presiding Bishop Michael Curry commented. "I have attended many of the Episcopal Youth Events and I have fond memories of joining our youth in celebration, learning and fun. EYE17 is a strong component of the Jesus Movement."
EYE traditionally draws hundreds of youth from throughout the Episcopal Church. EYE 2017 marks the 13th EYE and remains a popular and well-attended event. EYE 2017 is geared for youth in grades 9-12 during the 2016-2017 academic year and their adult leaders.
To be eligible for the Mission Planning Team, youth applicants must be currently enrolled in grades 9 - 11 and must be a communicant of an Episcopal Church congregation. Adult applicants must be at least 25 years old, a communicant of an Episcopal Church, and have experience working with high school-aged youth.

Dominican Republic Summer Event Seeks Teen Counselors
This summer, eight students (ages 14-18) will represent
the Episcopal Church in Connecticut in the Dominican Republic, July 16-24. While there, they will coordinate crafts and games for a Vacation Bible School at Iglesia Santa Margarita, a mission in Santo Domingo.

Anglican Consultative Council (ACC-16).
Anglican bishops, priests and laity from across the world continue to gather in Lusaka, Zambia through Tuesday April 19 for ACC-16.

Third Annual Young Adult of the Year
2016 Service Recognition Award
The Church Club's Young Adult of the Year Service Recognition Award is a tri-state regional program that provides recognition to an outstanding young adult (in their 20s or 30s), or group of young adults, for exceptional volunteer missionary service work within their church or other community ministry in ECCT, and the Episcopal Dioceses of New York, New Jersey, Newark, or Long Island.
The award is accompanied by a $1,000 honorarium, of which $500 is designated to the awardee and $500 to the church or community ministry, presented at the Church Club's Annual Meeting in June 2016.

Racial Reconciliation/ Racial Justice Ministry
The next meeting of the emerging Racial Reconciliation/Racial Justice Ministry Network (initially formed by participants of Trinity Institute 2016, all others welcome) will be at The Commons in Meriden on Thursday, April 21 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. RSVP here
Christian Formation
The ECCT Christian Formation Ministry Network will meet on Thursday, April 28 from 1 - 3 p.m. at The Commons. This network and gathering is for those who are interested in children's, youth, and/or adult formation on the parish level.
Ministry Network Convocation
The Ministry Network Convocation called for in last year's ECCT transition plan will be held Wednesday, June 1 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at The Commons. All members of Ministry Networks, both existing and emerging, as well as anyone who wants to learn more and explore possibilities, are invited. There will be plenary work and breakouts sessions.
