Always stuck for time to read? You'll love our books this month - you can read any of them in a day (or less). And however much of a rush you're in, don't miss out on our other ideas for ways to enjoy spending your time and entertain your children during the summer holidays.
Summer Reading Challenge 2015 - Record Breakers!
Record Breakers
If you have children, then you'll be excited to hear about this year's Summer Reading Challenge themed around the Guinness World Records anniversary running from 11 July - 5 September.
You can take part in all Slough's libraries including libraries in shared buildings such as Chalvey, Wexham and Colnbrook
Children are rewarded for borrowing and reading books with stickers and other prizes. And if they complete the challenge and read 6 books they are awarded with a medal in a special ceremony in September and October.

Last year a magnificent 2,870 children took part in Slough - can you help us break the record this year?

PLUS if you visit Slough central Library on Sunday 12 July at 2pm you can be part of a WORLD RECORD BREAKING ATTEMPT!

What's new?

Events in July
Lots of great activities are happening this summer holiday, kicking off with story and craft activities about countries, the world's longest hair and the world's strongest man. Fun for all the family! Ask at your local library.

Twitter: Popular tweets this month celebrated our 800 years of the Magna Carta exhibition that was organised jointly with local schools and Creative Junction.

Plus there was some interest in a tweet about Music time at Wexham Library.
