STONER MOVE OF THE WEEK
Get Ready to Vote. No. Wait. We Win!
Looks like some folks in Lyons are going to give us all a run for the money with this big  Stoner Move of the Week! This one is so special it must be included even tho the characters weren't high. Or were they. . . So there's been a lot of hoopla in the Town of Lyons over an upcoming vote to ban recreational dispensaries in town. Old-school folks were rallying the town against evil weed and got a ballot measure to ban recreational dispensaries up for vote this March. If passed, it would have forced our brand new Bud Depot Recreational Dispensary to close, even as we pump hundreds of dollars a day in tax revenue into the town. But it seems no one noticed until this week that Colorado's Amendment 64 (which legalized rec weed in CO) included the clause that "initiated or referred" ballot measures like these can only take place in general election years - and this isn't a general election year! Oops? Big oops.
Now there's very few options to move the ban forward, especially since the Town Council has been supportive of well-regulated Rec shops. Instead they had to pass a resolution to repeal the ballot measure. So for now it looks like our Rec shop is safe until the next general election - in November 2016. And they say stoners lack attention to detail. . .

Sounds good, but how is it? Imagine a sharp hit of muddled citrus on the back of your throat delivered by a thick and cream-like cloud inhale. That's the pleasant introduction of Fat Nelson. On the grow side, the kolas are large and somewhat dense with a pale green hue. Trichome heavy for sure; this sticky ganja has a gorgeous scent of sour citrus candies from your youth. It's ridiculously upbeat and active, and this strain would mix well with any social environment and/or a sunny stony afternoon alone feeling inspired and writing reviews. : ) Be mindful with your dosing on this one. Ever wonder how and why we grow organic cannabis? 
Here at HHH and The Depot, we care a lot about our herb and all the people who work with our plants are here because they have a genuine love for the plant. Due to the legal market, we are blessed to have the freedom to openly grow our cannabis the way we see fit and we've chosen the way that's most in tune with the plants themselves - naturally. There is an definite radiance and lifeforce that emanates from the fruit or flower of a happy plant - and in our indoor garden the grower's vibe and happiness when tending to a plant must also be considered. And when we use naturally-sourced ingredients we're helping keep that positive feedback loop circulating. Our gardeners dont have to wonder about unknown side effects of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides on themselves or the customers and the plant is getting all it needs from organic sources.
One common misconception is that all organic nutrients and pesticides are "safe" for people. This is misleading. This labelling only certifies that the ingredients are of natural origin. Responsible gardening, whether organic or conventional, plays an enormous role in the production of safe and happy plants. In choosing to use these natural products we are simply putting our faith in mother nature as our supplier. These plants are a long way from their native environments, but we try to do our best to make them feel at home.
Organic gardening is generally more expensive in both materials and labor, and in the instance of our current cannabis market, yields no higher price per pound. So why do we do it if we could make more money with commercial grow methods? Because it's the right and healthy thing to do, and produces some of the finest cannabis around.
