Social Skills and Behavioral Intervention Training for Parents

Tuesday's Child offers a comprehensive Behavioral Intervention program that is evidence-based and built on well-established principles.  They train parents in the use of positive discipline strategies that guide the child toward cooperative behavior.  While parents are learning new skills, children participate in their Child Center where group interaction helps them practice following rules and getting along with peers.

They also offer The Friendship Club, a social skills group for children aged 5-8.  It meets for six sessions starting Saturday, February 23 - March 30.  5-6 years old meet 9-10 am and ages 7-8 meet 10:15- 11:15 am.  For more information, go to www.TuesdaysChildChicago.org.

Lekotek Sibling Support Project

Participants will also learn what researchers, clinicians, and siblings themselves say about growing up with siblings who have special needs.
