Message From Richard

Greetings my brothers and sisters and welcome to our latest edition of Gods Faith Book's weekly newsletter.

As many of you are aware, GFB has been plagued by several problems with our site this past week......This  is the same way we started our last week's newsletter. Some of our problems still persist. Our chat room is still giving us problems. Our technicians have been working with the chat room developers to try and fix the problem.  The chat room is open but not fully functional. Our technicians now advise me that they do have a handle on the problem, but it will take another 7 to 8 days to get it fixed.  We have two options to take. The first option is to abandon this chat room and get a new room. The second option is to go along with our technicians and let them finish what they started. I have decided to go with the second option, because I have been told that the chat room we are currently using is the best one on the internet.

We had to take our site down again for several hours Wednesday night and early Thursday morning for some additional maintenance,  which should help to stabilize the site and keep it up and running 24/7 with no problems.

Our new Christian dating site which has now been running for over 5 weeks and has over 100,000 members and is growing rapidly has also been plagued by problems. The site is now stable with some errors still popping up, which are being looked into and fixed.  Our biggest problem has been with scammers coming on and posting non Christian thoughts and photos. We have a team that is monitoring the site and helping to delete any members posting un Christian thoughts. We have a ZERO tolerance for this and will be constantly searching these members and banning them from this site as well as GFB.

We have been asked by many of you how you can help with GFB. You can help in two ways. First is buying letting us know if you come across anything that looks like a scam. Secondly  you can help GFB and at the same time help yourself by going  to our gift store, located at top of home page on the  black menu bar. We have many gift items including  a book section with over 22 books that you can buy for yourself or a loved one.  Part of these profits are used to  support the many activities we all enjoy on this site. The balance of funds are used to support various children's funds to help feed children in need.

Our E book section located in the quick links section on black menu bar at top of home page has over 70  e books including a new e book added each week. So if you haven't checked out this section in a while, take a look, many new books have been added and they are all FREE to read and download.

Our Quick link section also features dozens of FREE e cards for many different occasions including birthdays, inspirational messages as well as holidays including Christmas, Easter and Mothers and Fathers day and sympathy cards for those who have lost friends or loved ones. The cards are FREE - you don't even need a stamp--just email it.

Remember, that this site does not belong to one person, it belongs to all of you. Without YOU, there is no US. Always Dare To Dream.

"Thank You Lord for this day, and for all you have done for us. Lord forgive us our sins, and help us with forgiveness of others. Lord please heal our bodies, minds and hearts, so that we are free and healthy in body, mind and Spirit. Lord may you guide , protect and provide for our family needs. In Jesus name we pray. Amen"

WE ARE IN JESUS HAND SO DONT WORRY HE IS ALWAYS WITH US.

GOD'S GRACE IS WHAT ENABLES YOU TO BELIEVE IN HIM. SO THANK HIM EACH DAY FOR REVEALING HIMSELF TO YOU!

DON'T KEEP GODS FAITHBOOK A SECRET, SHARE IT WITH YOUR FRIENDS!

Faith is a Journey By : Susan Barnes

And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit". John 20:22

This verse leads to an interesting question, when exactly did the disciples become Christians? Here, where Jesus breathed on them in order to receive the Holy Spirit, when they were first called three years earlier, or at Pentecost? As you think about this, consider also, the disciples were preaching, healing the sick, and casting out demons some time prior to this incident.

Our journey of faith travels past many milestones where God shows up sometimes in surprising ways. There is no reason for us to be sitting around waiting for God to do something supernatural in our lives. If we have responded to God's call on our lives then let's move forward in those areas we already know God would have us travel. God will equip us further as we progress on our spiritual journey.

This verse reminds us to be open to what God might do and not have our ideas set in concrete, thinking now we are Christians, God hasn't anything further for us. God may want to equip us for something we don't feel ready to do. I'm sure the disciples didn't feel like being "sent" (v.21); at this point they were still meeting behind locked doors.

The next verse goes on to speak about forgiveness. "If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven" (v.23). Jesus immediately connects the Holy Spirit's work with forgiveness. If we do not forgive we are holding onto someone's sins which will hinder the Holy Spirit's working in our own life.

I wonder if Thomas missed out, or did Jesus breathe on him later?

Weekly Devotional - Helping The Poor by Peter Kennedy

"This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Israel, even for four, I will not turn back [my wrath]. They sell the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals. They trample on the heads of the poor as upon the dust of the ground and deny justice to the oppressed. Father and son use the same girl and so profane my holy name." - Amos 2:6-7

In April 2013, against the backdrop of cuts in U.S. foreign aid, the Christian humanitarian group World Vision launched a $500 million initiative to help 10 million poor children. The initiative is to globally address the issues of clean water, health services and child protection. The "For Every Child" fundraising campaign seeks to buy mosquito nets, improve sanitation, provide food aid, protect children from trafficking, and partner with local churches to support the poor. "This is the most far-reaching endeavor in World Vision's history," said the organization's president, Richard Stearns, in a statement. "Our goals are ambitious and the impact we hope to make would transform the lives of a generation of children. This is not a fundraising campaign but a rescue mission for the children we help and also for the donors who step up to say this is worth the fight."

The poor are always on the Lord's heart. Today in prayer, thank the Lord that He has blessed you with many material blessings. Ask Jesus how you can give to those in need.

"The cry of the poor must either be heard by us, or it will ascend up against us into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth." - F.D. Maurice

God's Word: "All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do." - Galatians 2:10
