Message From Richard

Greetings my brothers and sisters and welcome to our latest edition of Gods Faith Book's weekly newsletter.

As many of you are aware, GFB has been plagued by several problems with our site this past week. GFB was down for almost three days and caused panic, sorry, anger the possible loss of a home and many friends. Let me first say, that we were never in any danger of closing down or losing and information kept in our data base.  In very simple language the problem was caused by our technicians working on our Chat room which has not been operating at full capacity. Our server had to be shut down to work on the chat room. Because of the size of our data base, information is stored on several different sections of the server. When the server went back up, this information was taken from the wrong storage area causing down time and the loss of profile information and various other entries  for the past 300 days. This missing information has been retrieved and is now back on the server and back on GFB.  We are now concentrating on fixing the chat room which is currently working, but not to full capacity. Watch the front page for a status report on chat room.

For those of you who missed last week's newsletter, I'm repeating the information on the success of our new Christian dating site.

GFB's new Christian Dating site (www.godsdatematch.com) continues to grow by Thousands every day. Our number has swelled to over 100,000 new members.  Over the  last two weeks  we have registered over 50,000  new members. As stated last week, because of our unexpected rapid growth we out grew our disk space for storing pictures and information. That problem has been resolved with the addition of plenty of disk space to handle all our anticipated growth. As with any new venture, there are always problems that arise. Our current staff has been over whelmed with administrating all new member requests.  We have increased our staff and all problems and questions will be answered.  We are still being hit  by scammers and others that are not working in a true Christian atmosphere. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS A TRUE CHRISTIAN SITE WITH ZERO TOLERANCE FOR NON CHRISTAIN ATTITUDES. Scammers and foul language and photos will be taken of site and those responsible will be banned from this site. If you have faith and  a true love for the Lord, than and grow with us and hopefully you will find that special someone to share the rest of your life with. Most of these new members are not members of GFB, so this will give you a great opportunity to meet new individuals. If you are single and looking for that special person, just click on and discover new friends with similar interests.

Ministering With Grace by Pastor QT Nyathi

Jesus ministered with kindness, forbearance, patience, tenderness, elegance, propriety, friendship, favour, and beauty. All these are attributes of grace. As his servants we must also minister with grace just like our loving Master. What are the characteristics of a grace-based ministry?

# 1: Grace-based ministries accept people just as they are.

Jesus totally accepted people without prejudging them. He conversed with prostitutes, dined with corrupt public officials, and received known sinners. That way He was able to help many people because of His gracious demeanour.

Likewise, Christ's servants must accept people just as they are warts and all.

Welcome and embrace people regardless of the nature of their struggles. Believe their stories no matter how horrific or eerie they may sound. Accept them in the beloved.

# 2: Grace-based ministries are attractive.

Grace is attractive. That is why Jesus drew crowds like a magnet; they just couldn't have enough of this pleasant thing called grace. All sorts of people followed Jesus wherever He went including men, women, children, public officials, Samaritans, rich folk, and the poor.

Everybody loved Jesus.

People were comfortable around Him. Once we tune our ministry antennas to the grace station we will be amazed at the numbers we will draw with ease.

# 3: Grace-based ministries treat people with respect and dignity.

Oh the dignity and respect with which our Lord treated people.

Grace beatifies the ugly, dresses the naked, and freely gives to the undeserving. Jesus respected women who were treated with contempt during His time. He wasn't too busy to talk to children.

Anybody could have an audience with Jesus.

He gave people full attention whether it was in public or in private. Let's minister with grace by respecting God's image in people regardless of status, gender, tribe, race, religion, and country of origin.

Indeed grace came by Jesus Christ. (John1:17) So, we, His servants, must also exude grace as we minister to His precious people whom He purchased with His own blood. Anything less would be a misrepresentation of our Lord.

Pastor QT is a published author, copywriter and speaker. His sincerity, wit and candid style have endeared him to many hearts. His book DELIVERANCE UNPACKED has been warmly received globally. He conducts spicy marriage and singles seminars with his feisty wife Bonani.

Weekly Devotional - Trust in the Lord - Let Go and Let God! By Lori Dixon

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV)

I watched as my little black terrier pulled harder and harder on her leash. With each tug, the collar choked her causing her to gasp for breath. I was desperately trying to untangle the long cord from around the patio chair so that she could get out of the rain but in her haste and stubbornness she would not allow any slack; pulling, she kept the line taut, without any give.

Finally lifting her up, I took a few steps towards the culprit chair, freeing her. The damage was done, however and she continued to hack and clear her throat for a few minutes as she settled herself in front of the fireplace, content and at rest.

It occurred to me that I can be just as stubborn and stupid. So often I get myself tied up in knots and rather than relaxing, I run. I keep struggling to get or keep control over my situation instead of stopping, dropping to my knees and allowing the Lord to lift me up. He knows the way out of my predicaments; I just need to let go and let God. He can and will straighten things out.
