We have received reports of several spammers that have been soliciting money from members.

GFB has a Zero Tolerance for Spam. Spammers will be suspended immediately.

If you receive a message from one of our members requesting that you email your address or money, please do not respond and delete her message from your inbox.

I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Good news: We have finally completed our new Christian Single Dating Site. The name of this new site is: www.godsdatematch.com This new site will be separate from GFB and will require you to join and set up a new profile. This new site has been developed for single members of GFB as well as non members that are looking for a place to meet single Christians with the goal of establishing a long term lasting relationship.

Many of our members have been asking about soliciting dates on GFB. However GFB was set up as a social net work site for those Christians that wanted a safe way to communicate with other Christians and join in helping to Spread His Word. It was not meant to be a way to solicit dates. In order to accommodate the many single Christians that have joined GFB, we have decided to offer a much needed service for our many single members. Look Carefully or You'll Miss Out by Emily Van rijn

While we were enjoying our holiday in Holland, we spent one day visiting two interesting places.

The first place was called 'De Orchideen Hoeve' which was an amazing tropical paradise with beautiful gardens.

There was a Tropical Garden with tons of pretty orchids of many different colors and species. Many other tropical plants grew here amidst the water streams and small bridges.

The Malaysian Garden had a large bridge, waterfalls, pole houses and many georgous flowers.

The best, however, was the Butterfly Valley. Thousands of brightly colored butterflies fluttered amongst many tropical plants and over the little streams and fountains.

After eating lunch at the restaurant there, we drove through roads that wound through stunning tulips fields to an animal park. We walked slowly around the park looking at the different animals. There were otters, deer, wild pigs and cranes to name a few.

There was one thing the two places had in common. You have to take your time and look around carefully, or you will miss seeing many things.

In the butterfly valley, my husband noticed a gigantic lizard sitting on top of a tree. :( You could have easily missed seeing it. It sat as still as a rock, and it blended in with the green of the leaves.

In the other gardens, there were many beautiful flowers, spectacular plants, and turtles crawling around.

At the animal park, some of the animals were in large fields with many trees and bushes. There were some animals that you could only see vaguely from a distance. Unless we had looked very carefully, we would never have noticed them.

Walking through both of these beautiful places reminded me of what it is like to read the Bible.

If we rush blindly through our Bible reading, we will miss out on seeing many precious things.

There are things in the Bible to look out for as we read; promises, commands, and warnings. We can also learn lessons about God, and we can learn from people's mistakes and examples.

How do we read the Bible?

Do we rush through it because it's what we have to do every day?

Do we read slowly looking out for what God wants us to see?

If you don't look carefully, you'll miss out!

Weekly Devotional - Unknown God by Keith Powell

"For as I passed by, and beheld, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, Him I declare unto you." Acts 17:23 KJV

Even today there are many, many people that worship an unknown god. They have a sense that there is a God and they see through creation that there must be a God, but they have not yielded to the Holy Spirit to receive God. Paul preached the God of the universe to these people. It is your duty and mine to also tell others about having met God. After all, you and I also worshiped or acknowledged the unknown God at one time in our lives.

It's not that unusual if the unbelieving world doesn't recognize God. But when those in the church act like they don't know God either... You can have religion and still not know God. Paul did the right thing. He simply declared God to the people. I think we try too many alternate methods of evangelizing people, when we should be telling them about our own personal daily experience with God.

People will believe a genuine report of an actual event.

The truth is the conduit for a genuine believable testimony. You might very well be the person that God chose, to cross paths with someone, that has been looking for a genuine answer to their own lifetime quest. Today might be the day.

Bible Study Classes and Prayer Meeting

Bible Study is held in the AV Chat Room each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Each Saturday we also have a Video prayer and worship session. Classes begin promptly at 8:00 PM EST except for the Tuesday class which begins at 3:00 PM E.S.T.

The GFB Prayer Meeting is held each Wednesday at approximately 9:00 PM EST in the AV Chat room.
