Message From Richard
Greetings my brothers and sisters and welcome to our latest edition of Gods Faith Book's weekly newsletter.
My brothers and sisters, I need you help and advice. In order to keep the GFB site operating , we have a store that helps offset some of the monthly administration and operating expenses . Currently, this store is not providing enough revenue to keep the site going and growing as it has been in the past.
We need your help as to how to improve this. Please let me if you would like to see more items in the store, or different types of items that you might want to purchase. Are you happy with the product selection? Are there any reasons you haven't been making your gift purchases from our store?
Please email me your comments and thoughts to : godsfaithbook@aol.com All remarks and comments will be kept confidential.
To all our new members, when you have a moment, check out our quick link section located on the black menu bar at top of home page. The following items are located in the quick link section:
- Sermons -new Sermon posted every week, which you can download or forward to friends.
- E cards -FREE e cards for you to send to friends, covering, Birthdays, Christmas, Inspirational , Sympathy and several new Easter cards just added. Take a look, they're free and you can send out immediately or schedule for future dates to be sent.
- E Books - Dozens of E books that can be read or downloaded for future reading. They're all FREE and we are adding new books all the time. Check back each week for new additions.
- Poll Question - We post a new poll question here on the 1st and 15th of each month. You can follow the posting daily and remember your names are kept confidential-only your answers are posted. All previous poll questions are archived for you to take a look.
One last comment regarding our new activity, Christian Singles that you will soon see added to GFB activities. This will be a separate activity for Christian Singles that want to meet other Christian Singles. In order to join you will have to set up a separate and new profile. This activity will be open to all GFB members, but will also be available to non members to join. While all members of this new activity will have access to GFB activities, their postings and comments will be kept separate from our home page. I'm still looking for your comments on this activity we are going into.
Thank you and God Bless.
Remember, that this site does not belong to one person , it belongs to all of you. Without YOU . there is no US. Always Dare To Dream.
Thank you Lord for this day, and for all you have done for us. Lord forgive us our sins, and help us with forgiveness of others. Lord please heal our bodies, minds and hearts, so that we are free and healthy in body, mind and spirit. Lord may you guide, protect and provide for our family needs. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
God's grace is what enables you to believe in HIM. So thank HIM each day for revealing HIMSELF to you!
DON'T KEEP GODS FAITH BOOK A SECRET -- SHARE IT WITH YOUR FRIENDS.

Lunch with the Lord by Jennifer Hamner
As a working, single mom of a teenager and a toddler it's hard to find extra time to worship God. It's not that I don't try. Upon rising each morning, with coffee in hand, I pray, do devotion, and read my bible. It all seems hurried though and since my mind and body isn't completely alert yet, I wonder if I am really getting what I need out of it. I also wonder if I am short changing God. Once the day is done and its bedtime, all I really want to do is pray and go to sleep. Some nights, honestly, I don't even feel like praying but I do anyway.
My employer does allow me to have a full hour for lunch so I have been going to the gym and walking on the treadmill everyday on my lunch break. This simple act of getting in a few extra steps on my lunch break has turned into something else entirely.
A few days into my new lunch routine, I noticed my reflection in the mirror. I am always the only person in the gym at this time and my pace was relatively fast as I was going up the steep incline. A thought came to my mind and I imagined that I was in training for a marathon. I told myself that I needed to go a little faster and a little higher to get in the best possible shape. That thought turned into thinking about soldiers and how they train so hard. Then my mind wandered to ninjas and samurais. I thought about the intensity of their training. All this led me to pretending that I was now in training as a warrior for Christ. It first started as a physical notion; I would get in great shape so that I could physically serve the Lord better.
This notion went on each day as I walked on the treadmill. I looked at myself in the mirror and imagined me walking down some dusty, dry road in Judea to build up my endurance for the ultimate battle of good versus evil. When I got hot and thirty, I imagined stopping on the shores of Galilee to cool off. My walk would finish and then I would go to the fitness machines to lift some weights. I noticed myself pushing a little harder than usual with the thoughts in my mind that I was moving great stones to build a temple or altar for God.
Every day would bring new thoughts about doing things for God and finding strength in Him to finish my task. I caught myself counting the blocks on the wall and for each block, thanking God for something in my life. By the time I had reached the last block, I had thanked Him for even those hard times and the pain I've endured. I thanked Him for getting me through it.
My hunger grew each day until now I find myself taking with me a print out of my bible lesson and a chapter from the King James. It props up easily on my treadmill face and I now can pray, read, and study the Word of God. I find myself speaking with him each day now, one on one. Once my workout is done, I go to my car, eat my sandwich, and listen to some worship music. Upon finishing my lunch, I feel so rejuvenated that my workday and night ahead goes so much smoother.
Instead of just going to the gym to work out, I now have a lunch date. He is the greatest, most wonderful, amazing, and energizing lunch date ever. My time with Him is genuine and valuable. When I have a day that I feel under the weather, I go to the gym anyway because I don't want to miss that time with my Lord. He never lets me down on our lunch date even though I let Him down just earlier that morning.
I encourage you fellow treadmill walkers or bike riders to turn off the gym television, unplug your ear buds, and close the gossip magazines while you work out. Instead, talk to God and soon you will find yourself having the best lunch date and work out ever.

OPEN HOUSE TO GFB GROUP:
SONGWRITERS AND LYRICISTS
SONGWRITERS AND LYRICISTS is again having an open house for ALL GFB members to come and see what this group is all about. I myself can not even read a note of music; however the Lord has graced me with a gift of songwriting and lyrics. You don't necessarily need to be musically inclined because God is not looking at external credentials. This group focuses more upon what is in the heart and attempts to draw it out.
If you have a passion for worship, or have even desired to create a song for the Lord, this group may be for you. If there is song which you have heard, but do not quite know how it is sung, bring it up and share it with the group. Are there any worship songs which speak to you, which you find relevant and spiritually significant in any way? Are there any words or messages which stand out in any song which comes to mind? Are there any songs which seem to be sung a particular way by a favorite worshipper or even a songwriter? Please share this with the group. We will be glad to receive them.
God bless you, as we worship the Lord Jesus in spirit and truth!
