Update On RIte Care Renewals
Help Families Renew
Cycle 1: These are families that received their initial notice to renew on June 22.  Those who did not renew received a formal notice around July 15th telling them their Rite Care coverage would stop on July 31.  But, because the notice was flawed, the state continued their coverage.

These families received a extension notice around August 1 telling them their coverage would continue AND THAT THEY NEED TO RENEW by AUGUST 12 or they will lose coverage at the end of this month.

Cycle 2:These families received their first renewal notice around July 1.  If they had not renewed by the end of July, they received a reminder notice around August 1.  They MUST RENEW BY AUGUST 12th to avoid losing coverage at the end of the month.

Cycle 3: These families received their first renewal notice around August 1.  They MUST RENEW by September 12 or they will lose coverage at the end of September.  They will receive a reminder notice in early September.

Note that Cycle 3 (around 8,000 families) includes families in which some family members do not need to renew coverage. This includes family members who are disabled and receive SSI benefits and Medicaid or family members who receive Medicare. The notice tells the family members who needs to renew and who is "not requesting" renewal.  The "not requesting" members need to be included in the application, but indicate they are not requesting coverage.

Encourage families to renew as soon as possible! Share this flyer that tells them how to renew. (Spanish version)

These cycles are part of 6 month push to get 42,000 RIte Care families who were on RIte Care in 2013 renewed between July and December 2014. This chart shows how the time line works:
