Leadership Training
One of the keys to a successful Scouting experience for young people, second only to the selection of the right person for each responsibility, is trained volunteer leadership. Leadership training provides adult leaders with fundamental information about the aims and methods of the movement, as well as specifics about their particular roles in Scouting.

The following Scouting positions are required to be Trained in order to recharter for 2016:  Board Members, Commissioners, Chartered Organization Representatives, District Committee Members, Cubmasters, Scoutmasters, Venture Crew Advisors, Unit Committee Members, and Professional Staff.  Additional training information may be found here.

Training for the above positions will be available on February 27, 2016 at Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation (to register, click here) and at the University of Scouting (see below) on March 12, 2016.

Venturing Advisor/Committee Training (6:00-9:00 PM) and Cub Scout Leader Specific Training (7:00-9:00 PM) will also be available at the Frontier District Roundtable on January 13, February 10 and March 9, 2016.  This training will be at the Kutztown Armory and is open to all districts in the council.
