Leadership Training
One of the keys to a successful Scouting experience for young people, second only to the selection of the right person for each responsibility, is trained volunteer leadership. Leadership training provides adult leaders with fundamental information about the aims and methods of the movement, as well as specifics about their particular roles in Scouting.

The following Scouting positions are required to be Trained in order to recharter for 2016:  Professional Staff, Board Members, Commissioners, District Committee Members, Cubmasters, Scoutmasters, Venture Crew Advisors, Unit Committee Members, and Chartered Organization Representatives.  Additional training information may be found here.
Scouting U's Online AND Local Training Courses
New Web courses make training more accessible to Scouting leaders.
In addition to online courses, the Council Training Committee works to provide onsite training, specific to your leadership position.  Currently scheduled training sessions are:

2016 Family Friends of Scouting Signups
