Program Planning Workshop

Program Planning is a critical step to the success of any high functioning unit.

A small group of dedicated district volunteers are giving their time to provide information and training. This interactive session will allow unit leaders to enhance their abilities to: recruit more parents, have more fun, keep youth members longer, understand habits of successful units, and discuss other useful topics.

Please join us at Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation from 9:00 AM - 12:00 (noon), Saturday, April 18, in the Miller Dining Hall. Refreshments will be served.

Register online or complete a registration form and submit to the BFSC before April 10.  Contact Brian Beddow at 610-926-3406 for more information.

Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation

Serving as a Staff Member at Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation is a very rewarding experience and a great opportunity to develop your skills as a leader in the outdoors. There are many positions available in all of the program areas, to include Cub Program, Boy Scout Program, and more specifically Aquatics, Extreme Sports, Hawk Mountain Outfitters, and many more.

For those interested in Food Service Staff, the largest program area, staff members are eligible for an additional $150 to $250, depending on what position is held. Food Service Staff includes cooks, prep-cooks, and kitchen utilities.

So if you are looking to enter the outdoor recreation job market or just to simply gain experience, working at HMSR is a great way to gain that experience and build your resume.  Here you will serve in a rewarding position where you can be a positive force in the development of future leaders while having "fun with a purpose."

Applications are available at the council service center, Reading, the satellite service center, HMSR, and on the council website.  You may submit your completed application to Hawk Mountain Council.
