Smokey Bear visits Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation
During this year's Cub Scout Adventure Days, Smokey Bear stopped by for a few photos. During the two-day event, nearly 2,000 Cub Scouts, siblings, parents, and grandparents enjoyed a program that included hay rides, archery, fishing, and speaking with law enforcement officers.

Smokey Bear sends out a big thank you to the event staff for making the event a fun time for all. Next year, there will be Friday night arrival with a cracker barrel and a campfire. See you next year!

2014 Popcorn Sales Results

Thank you to all of Scouts, Venturers, Packs, Troops, and Crews who helped support this year's popcorn sale! You helped grow the popcorn sale by 10% over 2013. More importantly, you raised over $300,000 to support the Scouting Programs. Congratulations on a job well done!

Congratulations to all of the $600 Club members, the $1000 sellers and the $1500 sellers. Congratulations to Zachariah M. from Pack 511 for being the top seller in the Council and to Pack 511 for being the top selling unit. Check out the list of top sellers and units in each district by clicking here

All that is left to do now, is to distribute all of the popcorn from the take orders.

Please check your email and complete the short survey on how your sale went and what we can do to better support your sale next year.

The location for popcorn sorting and distribution for all of the units in Berks County has changed. The new location is at the old UGI building on Route 183 in Bern Township.  If traveling from either 222 north or south get off at the 183 exit and go south on 183. Make a left at the first light on to Van Reed Road. Make an immediate right into the parking lot. You will see a big propane tank beside two docks. That is where the popcorn sorting and distribution will take place. Thanks to Boscov's for allowing us to use this space.

The Black Rock distribution will be at Fanelli's Warehouse in Pottsville.

Eagle Camp 2015

Paddle the Allagash Wilderness Waterway State Park; a magnificent, 92-mile-long ribbon of lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams winding through the heart of northern Maine's vast commercial forests. Begin by paddling the narrow, trout-packed Allagash Stream, th
en on to Allagash Lake, where all motorized vehicles are banned, and finally the Allagash river itself. Along the way run Class I & II rapids, portage around a cascading 45 foot waterfall, and hike up nearby mountains to view distant Mount Katahdin.
