SCHOLARSHIPS & INTERNSHIPS
NASA DEVELOP National Program
Application Deadline: February 12

Our projects focus on addressing local and international community concerns while utilizing NASA's Earth observations. Participants work in teams to complete rapid research projects in 10 weeks with guidance from NASA and partner science advisors. The Summer term (June 6 - August 12) application window is now open until February 12th. Term dates and application windows are also posted on the Apply page of the DEVELOP website. DEVELOP's projects are interdisciplinary in nature, so applications are welcome from all academic backgrounds, including earth sciences, geology, environmental sciences, biology, geography, math, chemistry, statistics, computer science, engineering, international relations, communication studies, and all other related disciplines.

The online application for UCSD continuing undergraduate scholarships is now open. Many of these scholarships are for engineering students!  Visit this website for the link to the easy-to-complete online application, scholarship guidelines, and additional information. Summer Undergraduate Research Internship (SURI)
Application Deadline: January 10, 2016

UT PGE is currently looking for talented undergraduates from across the country to visit our department and learn more about research in Petroleum Engineering. Petroleum engineering is an exciting field of professional dedicated to providing engery that powers a modern society. UT PGE is currently accepting applications looking for interns to work for 10 weeks in the summer of 2016 for a salary of $4000 plus on-campus housing, a meal plan and travel to Austin. The interns will be mentored by a UT PGE faculty member and work on a project that is of interest to them. This is a great opportunity for an undergraduate to gain research experience and a taste of the grad school life. SURI will consider application students from all engineering and science majors with at least a 3.25 GPA. This program only accepts students who are U.S. Citizens or permanent residents. The deadline to apply is January 10, 2016. Find more information
Amgen Scholars U.S. and Japan Programs
Application Deadline: February 2016

Now approaching its tenth summer, the Amgen Scholars Program continues to offer undergraduates the opportunity to collaborate with faculty at top institutions on cutting-edge scientific research. U.S. students may also apply to be Amgen Scholars at leading institutions in Japan: Kyoto University, and The University of Tokyo. Applications for the 2016 Amgen Scholars Program in the U.S. and Japan are now online. Be sure to review application requirements and program dates by visiting the links below.
