May 2016 (Issue 59)

Welcome to our May Newsletter!

We start this issue off by thanking everyone who attended MEMX 2016 - Evolution V Revolution last month. What a fantastic day!

It was our largest national membership best practice conference so far & it attracted an incredible 329 delegates. The final conclusion on the Membership Evolution V Revolution debate shifted from a pre-event vote of "unsure" to a clear and informed 'Enhanced evolution" is our best way forward.

Over the next couple of weeks we have some great free events for you to attend including our next Select (CRM) half day seminar (only 4 places left) and the return of our popular Lunch and Learn Series (topic: VAT and Tax theme).

In this issue we invite you to express an interest in becoming one of our Harnessing the Web 2016 expert speakers, we launch our Association Event Temperature Check Survey (already completed by 83 membership bodies), update you on the latest SAMP developments and establish how the Royal Society of Chemistry is bolstering new member acquisition even before the member journey has started!

I hope you enjoy reading our newsletter and if you would like to submit or suggest any future content please do get in touch!

We're now looking for speakers, exhibitors and sponsors to take part! Proposed topics will cover:

Increasing Online Member Engagement & Participation, Optimising Content to Drive Online Member Value, Solution Procurement, Selection & Integration Insight, Enhancing & Segmenting Online Member Journeys/Experiences, Improving Online User Experience (Ux), Search Engine Optimisation for membership bodies (SEO), website/CMS  Best Practice & Must Have Functionality, Enabling Effective Online Member Personalisation, Leveraging CRM, How to Ensure Your Current & Future Providers Constistantly Deliver, Delivering Targeted Email Marketing Campaigns and Digital Futures - What is in store for our sector?

MemberWise Mouse Mat Give Away!
Free Mouse Mats for subscribers!  At our most recent national conference, Membership Excellence 2016 we surprised delegates with a free mouse mat and Sheaffer pen (thanks to our friends at the BPMA). We are pleased to announce that 50 mouse mats are now available to subscribers who were unable to attend.

Terms: A maximum of 3 mouse mats can be ordered per subscriber, association and membership professional subscribers will receive priority, only available to UK subscribers and mouse mats will be given away on a first-come first served basis).
In 2016 more membership organisations and associations are holding conferences and events than ever before.

This is despite a significant trend towards 'digital' member-focused activities. This just goes to show how important face-to-face networking/learning is in our world!

We thought it would be interesting to conduct a temperature-check (supported by Eventbrite) to help the subscribers benchmark best practice and emerging trends.
