ISSUE NO. 49 / July 2015
July eUpdate

Hello

Welcome to your July eUpdate!

The Summer is finally here and I hope at some point you are able to find time to take a break!

MemberWise Network activity continues to develop and evolve and we welcomed our 3,800th subscriber over the weekend. I am hoping we will reach 4,000 before September.

In this issue I have two key items to report:

1) The launch of our annual membership sector web focused conference, Harnessing the Web 2015, 4th November, The Lancaster London. We hope you can attend!

2) An exciting consultation on the concept of a dedicated Society for Association and Membership Professionals. We want to hear your thoughts/feelings!

I hope that you read this issue with interest and find the following articles informative! Let's see what we have in store for your this month...

Our annual web conference, Harnessing the Web 2015, will provide you with unique insight and the knowledge required to ensure your organisation is at forefront of online member focused activity. We hope you can join us!

- 4th November 2015
- The Lancaster London

Our keynote sessions will disseminate great membership body online success stories and our break out seminar tracks will focus on:

1) Taking Online MemberJourneys & Experiences to the Next Level
2) Optimising Online Member Acquisition, Engagement and Growth

Speakers will represent leading associations and membership organisations including: ASCL, Caravan Club, CIM,  CIPFA,  CMI, CSP, Law Society, The Ramblers, RSC.

80 subsidised Early Bird places are now available (20% already have been reserved!) and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
Consultation: A New Society?
Concept: A professional Society for Association and Membership Professionals

Concept: Over recent years a number of subscribers have suggested that the network should consider the launch of a professional society that provides membership and association professionals with dedicated support, a collective voice and enhanced professional status.

Are we ready for our own professional society?

Requirement: Such a society would provide structured and competency focused support and professional development requirements via the government endorsed association and membership professional framework. The society would not look to duplicate functions already covered by existing bodies. E.g. marketing, human resources.

Your thoughts: Is this a timely and positive step forward for our sector? We want your thoughts as a potential future member.

We invite responses and messages of support from association and membership professionals, sector suppliers and leading sector bodies.
