Consultation: A New Society?
Concept: A professional Society for Association and Membership Professionals
Concept: Over recent years a number of subscribers have suggested that the network should consider the launch of a professional society that provides membership and association professionals with dedicated support, a collective voice and enhanced professional status. Are we ready for our own professional society? Requirement: Such a society would provide structured and competency focused support and professional development requirements via the government endorsed association and membership professional framework. The society would not look to duplicate functions already covered by existing bodies. E.g. marketing, human resources. Your thoughts: Is this a timely and positive step forward for our sector? We want your thoughts as a potential future member. We invite responses and messages of support from association and membership professionals, sector suppliers and leading sector bodies.
