This year is going to be a busy year for the sector, however we will continue to provide practical help and support to drive membership value and growth.

As always we have a lot to share with you! We kick-off our first eUpdate of 2014 by signposting our first free-to-attend 'Lunch and Learn' that will take place in a couple of weeks:

Harnessing the Web Survey Results Launch Event 
The MemberWise Network invites you to our forthcoming VIP Harnessing the Web 2014 survey summary report launch event at 30 Euston Square, the prestigious new home of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Harnessing the web

The event is free-of-charge to attend and has been organised in partnership with leading engagement management system provider, ASI Europe.

Why attend? The event will enable you to be amongst the first to hear about ground-breaking (and statistically significant) web-trends with in the membership sector that will help you to drive up membership value, engagement and growth.

The evening will commence with light refreshments (from 5:30pm) followed by a presentation of the key results (including comparisons with the 2013 survey results) by Membership Sector Influencer and Chair of the MemberWise Network, Richard Gott, and topical commentary delivered by ASI Europe Chair, Niroo Rad. The presentation will be followed by a professional networking drinks reception.

Member Disputes Lunch & Learn - Register now!
Our first Lunch and Learn of the year will focus on how to effectively handle member disputes in a robust manner and is kindly hosted by Bates Wells Braithwaite.

BWB partners Rosamund McCarthy and Selman Ansari along with solicitor Mark Scodie will speak at this comprehensive seminar, guiding you through:


- Before disputes arise: What should your documentation say? 

- When disputes arise: How should you run procedures fairly and proportionately?
- After disputes arise: What action should you take?

New MemberWise Insight Video - Google Analytics

We are pleased to announce the launch of our second membership expert Insight:

Google Analytics - Translating analytics to enable member-centric online change and development


This 30-minute video is led by association professional, Becky Reid, Marketing Manager at the Fire Industry Association and introduced by MemberWise Chair, Richard Gott. 


Becky outlines how to understand/analyse key data and where to find it within Google Analytics.She takes the opportunity to tell us how to interpret this data to better understand members and non-members and how to go beyond analytics (by linking Google Analytics with AdWords accounts). She also advises on how to track advertising effectiveness using Google URL Builder.

Membership Sector Event Calendar Updated!
Each year we compile a listing of all the major sector conferences, events and seminars. This month we update the calendar with 2014 dates.

The association and membership sector continues to develop with a range of educational events and training opportunities available.

A couple of years ago we were all really frustrated that there was no central location to view forthcoming events so we created this sector events calendar to try and make life a little easier when searching for great events and conferences to attend.

We have updated the calendar to include conferences, events and training days that will help you to drive up member value and growth. Topics are diverse and include member recruitment, retention, sponsorship, CPD/eLearning, communications and more!
