Let's Talk About...
Nutrition is a science of the interaction of a living organism and its food. Or put another way, it's the study of the biological processes of digesting food and our body's ability to absorb nutrients. Nutrients are the chemical compounds vital to support life. NourishMe's owner, Julie Johnson, a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, is now accepting appoints with clients at the shop in Ketchum.
As a nutritional therapist, Julie helps clients to understand and develop healthy eating habits in order to solve health problems and increase future health prospects.
Clients will be asked to fill out a three-day food journal and an extensive questionnaire. The first interview begins with this information. Nutritionists will perform a functional examination of the digestive organs, blood sugar handling abilities, minerals and fatty acids levels of your body.
"We are bio-individuals who are in best health when our uniqueness is observed."- Julie Johnson, LNT
Nutritionists will conduct a Lingual-Neurol Test (LNT) for the hot points with corresponding supplements or foods to find the best healing substances for the present symptoms. Based on these activities, the nutritionist will compile a plan of action involving appropriate daily diet and supplements that will last for one to two weeks, until your next visit. To affect permanent change the average length of visits is three-months.
When appropriate a client's therapy will end with a 7-day detox cleanse, which involves the attention of our mind, body, and soul.
By removing irritants, allergens, and sensitivities from a person's diet underlying inflammation with resulting organ system imbalances will naturally right themselves. By adding supportive digestive supplements and appropriate nourishing foods have a chance of properly breaking down and being absorbed on a cellular level.
"The art of medicine consists in amusing the patient while nature cures the disease." Voltaire
