IT TAKES MORE THAN PRACTICE
| |
According to a study published in Perspectives in Psychological Science, practice accounts for just "18 percent of the difference in athletic success." So why is this? According to the article's author Brooke Macnamara, "learning rates vary. Some...improve very quickly with less practice, while others require much more practice." So if practice doesn't account for the differences, what does?
- Personality and perseverance
- Propensity to get injured
- Propensity to choke under pressure
- Differences in maximum oxygen uptake
- Differences in how muscle mass is acquired
- Coordination
- Height
- Enjoyment of competition.
Happy training! You can read more here.

Here's a good article to help you love the one you're with. You can read more here.

WHICH WAY IS NORTH?

Many of us rely on the compass included on our cellphone or other apps to understand wind direction. But in case you find yourself without your technology, Field & Stream has published a quick idea. - Drive a three foot stick into the ground in a sunny spot.
- Set a stone at the tip of its shadow.
- Wait 20 minutes then place another rock at the tip of shadow.
- The first marker indicates the west and the second marker indicates east.
