Canine Influenza Update
DVM360 reports on a recent study that found that dogs with canine influenza (H3N2) can shed the virus for longer than had been previously thought. As a result, it's best that dogs diagnosed with the virus be isolated for 21 days.

Megan and Chance.
|
Since she was 12 years old, Megan Quast has been training and handling Chance (Lake Dixie's Take a Chance MH). She started by helping her dad throw bumpers.
One day her dad asked if she would like to run Chance and he would toss the bumpers. She said "yes" and promptly was hooked on the dog trials.
Megan was the newsletter editor for the Lake Country Retriever Club for two years and is actively involved with helping with events sponsored by Lake Country. She has qualified Chance at the Junior and Senior level. Now 17, Megan and Chance have earned 4 passes at the Master Level and hope to get one more pass for her title this year.
