Anatomy of a cooler.
If you don't already have one in your dog truck, you probably want one. 

The founders of Yeti coolers had two goals. The first was to build a cooler that they could "stand on without fear of collapse" as they fished. The second was to give them enough time to hunt and fish.

You can read more about the pair who turned a commodity into an "object of desire" and $450 million in 2015 sales here.

For the fifth time David Maass has been named 2016 Ducks Unlimited Artist of the Year.

Over the years, Maass' work has raised "millions of dollars on behalf of DU's continental wetlands conservation programs."

Hip Dysplasia
Researchers at UC Davis have published a study designed to uncover correlations between early spay or neuter and the rate of some diseases. (Early here is defined before 12 months of age.)

Among the findings:
  • Increased risk of hip dysplasia among early neutered males.
  • Increased risk of mast cell tumors and hemangiosarcoma in dogs neutered after 12 months.
