Marc Healey met 11 year old Jessica Jacobucci at a training session. A few months later he asked if she would be interested in running one of the dogs in a Junior Stake.

At the Colorado Foothills Retriever Club test, Jessie and Healmark's Sam I Am sailed through the junior test with a qualifying score.

A recent study by COLLOQUY/FanXchange shows that 71% of Americans state they are "extremely" or "somewhat" loyal to their pets. Loyalty to their banks rates a close second at 69%!

Southerners are most loyal to their pets (74%) with Westerners right behind them at 72%.  Women scored higher on loyalty to pets 73% vs. 69% for men. And the Midwest is the only geographical region of the country scoring higher in loyalty to bands than pets. 

Purina is featuring none other than Lauren Hays and FC-AFC Bayou Teche Eye on the Ball (Slider) to promote their new PRIME and ReFUEL bars. PRIME bars are given 30 minutes prior to exercise to ensure that key nutrients are present in the dog's bloodstream to support their activity. ReFUEL bars are given within 30 minutes after exercise to help replace glycogen and key amino acids.

Dogs that ingest a significant amount of water while working or playing can develop water intoxication which in turn can lead to a potentially fatal condition called hyponatremia.

Symptoms include loss of coordination, lethargy, bloating, vomiting, glazed eyes, excessive salivation, difficulty breathing, seizures and coma.

When buying a pup or trying to put together a breeding, folks often look at the combinations of bloodlines that have produced top performers in the past.

Retriever Results has a new feature called Sire-Dam Pairs that adds the points and passes for various pairings. Repeat breedings are totaled so you can get the complete picture.

There is one list for pairs that have produced dogs in the hunt test arena and one for field trial performers.  As with most Retriever Results tables you can sort the columns to be able to look at the pairs to get at just the information you need.
