 Veterinary Practice News has just published their list of X-Ray Contest Winners. Winners receive cash prizes from $500 - $1500.
First Place A frog ate more than 30 ornamental rocks.
Second Place A German Shorthaired Pointer swallowed a wooden shish kebob skewer.
Third Place A great Dane consumed 43 1/2 socks.

 Did you know that tennis balls can wear down your dog's teeth. Vets report that the same material that keeps tennis balls bouncing on courts can also do a good job abrading a dog's teeth. So if you have a "gnaw-er," best to give him or her something else to chew on. |

Did you know that 80 percent of dogs have dental disease by the age of two?
AKC Canine Health has put together a list of indicators that your pup may have dental disease:
- fishy-smelling breath
- a toothache causing your dog to pull away if you touch the mouth
- loss of appetite
- bleeding from the gums
- drooling
- dropping food while attempting to chew
- loose or discolored teeth
- constant licking or pawing at the mouth

Bill Tidd and his son Quest had a great field trial at Maumee last weekend. Quest Tidd and Big HOss II earned a 2nd in the Qualifying and Bill's dog, AFC Beaver La Bam, brought home a third in the Amateur and an Open Jam. Plus "Mom" marshlled the Qualifying and got to see her son in action.
