| RETRIEVER HALL OF FAME NOMINEES - 2014 | | |
The nominations have been counted. Now ballots, listing the top five individuals and dogs, will be voted on by National judges, past and present, those already in the RHOF and other prominent people in the field trial community.

The top two individuals and the top two dogs will be announced as the inductees on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Bird Dog Foundation in Grand Junction, Tennessee.

| NEW PUPPY IMPORT RESTRICTIONS | |
The AKC has announced that the USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has released new regulations, effective November 17, that will restrict the importation of puppies younger than 6 months of age into the continental United States for the purpose of resale, research or veterinary treatment. The new regulations do not restrict individuals who wish to import dogs they intend to keep for personal use, such as a pet or as part of a breeding program.

Shadow was a tremendously successful dog both on and off the field. He has sired any number of talented pups. Among them is the litter with FC-AFC Chena River Wild Lady that produced five titled dogs (out of eight in competition). Also of note is a litter with FC-AFC Watermark's Mardi Gras that produced three titled dogs (out of five in competition).
Pike is another talented dog. He sired FC Pike's Peak of Castlebay MH, FC-AFC Castlebay's Wren Dell, and AFC Tanks But No Tanks among many others. |

Congratulations to Pat Martin and FC-AFC-Aran Island's Finnegan (Finnegan) on winning a Double Header at the American Amateur Field Trial last weekend. Finnegan is just four and a half years old. These wins bring his All-Age point total to 43 including 5 wins!
Congratulations to Dan Hurst and Luke (aka Abby's Physician of Antioch, full brother to FC-AFC Robber's Stray Bullet). The team won all three derbies at the triple DQ this weekend (Shrewsbury, Long Island and Westchester). |
