 HEARTWORM ON THE RISE
According to Veterinary Practice News, Alabama and Louisiana  lead the nation in Heartworm disease.

There was a time when many believed heartworm medication was unnecessary during the winter or mosquito-free months. Not true! The American Heartworm Society recommends pets be tested each year and that preventative be administered each month -- on time. The Society also notes that prevention costs less than 10% of the cost to treat the disease.
YOU HOPE IT NEVER HAPPENS
You hope it never happens, but despite best efforts a dog can slip away.

Nearly one in five pets disappears after being scared by thunderstorms, fireworks or other loud noises. And even if your dogs are used to loud noises, all that boundless energy and enthusiasm that helps them find birds can get them into trouble.

Here is a list of "10 Things To Do" if it does happen.
SEND US YOUR VIDEOS & PICS
Duane Smith & Ace
Every picture (or video) tells a story. The Retriever Results Facebook page features videos or photos from the week's events. Just email us the material or a link and we'll post it. Or post it yourself on our Facebook page.

This week there are two videos of the Amateur at Manitowoc, plus this photo and story of Duane Smith and Ace's Blackwater Express, one of only two dogs that picked up the birds in the last series of the Hennepin County OHQ without handling.
 TOP SIRES AND DAMS
Did you know that you can use Retriever Results to look up the top performing Field Trial sires and dams? Well you can! And if you want to check out top Hunting Test sires and dams you can do that too. While you're there, check out all the other Rankings available.

NEW STUD DOG REPORTS
Check out the two new Stud Dog Reports. Reports are automatically updated with each week's results. To order, send us an email.

Shadow was a tremendously successful dog both on and off the field. He has sired any number of talented pups. Among them is the litter with FC-AFC Chena River Wild Lady that produced five titled dogs (out of eight in competition). Also of note is a litter with FC-AFC Watermark's Mardi Gras that produced three titled dogs (out of five in competition).

Pike is another talented dog. He sired FC Pike's Peak of Castlebay MH, FC-AFC Castlebay's Wren Dell, and AFC Tanks But No Tanks among many others.
