| PARASITE UPDATE | |
If you haven't already, you might want to check out the Companion Animal Parasite Council website. It's full of useful data and maps such as these parasite prevalence maps. According to the CAPC:
- 1 out of 16 dogs will test positive for Lyme disease
- 1 out of 32 will test positive for Ehrilichiosis or Anaplasmosis
- 1 out of 45 will test positive for Roundworm
- 1 out of 51 will test positive for Hookworm
- 1 out of 74 will test positive for Heartworm
- 1 out of 116 will test positive for Whipworm
