Happy Fall to all!  Things here at AHI have been very busy over the last year between new home constructions, major addition projects, as well as a fun outdoor living area venture.  As always, I am very grateful for your word of mouth referrals and have enjoyed getting to meet your friends and family and build for them.  I'd also like to take this time to recognize the talented teammate we have gained and honor a teammate who is retiring.  Please read below as I detail a few of our staff transitions this Fall as well as offer some helpful tips to keep your home running smoothly this beautiful Autumn season..

Louise Buchanan - Retiring

It's hard to believe Louise joined our team over 29 years ago in April of 1986.  She has been a valuable member of our team serving as accountant, bookkeeper, and cost wrangler extraordinaire!  She has kept us in budget and operating smoothly which is no small task given the transitional landscape of the software, technology, & tax law changes that have affected our industry over the last 29 years.  We are deeply grateful for her sharing her time, talents, and friendship with us over the last 3 decades.  Her presence in the office will be sorely missed but we are excited for her as she embarks on the next chapter in her life:  retirement!

Welcome Nathan!

I am excited to announce Nathan Calhoun is rejoining our team.  Many of you have worked with Nathan in the past and know what a valuable asset he is to our AHI family.  He possesses a skill set with attention to detail and a great work ethic.  Nathan's friendly disposition and great customer service make him the ideal ambassador to represent us in the field and act as the liaison between our clients and subcontractors. Nathan started back full-time at the end of August and we couldn't be more thrilled!
Fall Homeowner Tips

Regular home maintenance can be one of the best investments you make in your home. By taking care of routine items before they become expensive repairs, you can help keep your home in tip-top shape!  Here are a few tips:
  • Keep flammable materials, including all lawn and power equipment, away from water heaters & furnaces in your garage
  • Clean and/or replace your furnace filter
  • Insulate water pipes in areas exposed to cold temperatures
  • Check and repair caulking around doors and windows that show signs of deterioration
  • Check caulking around showers, bathtubs, sinks and toilet bases; and make repairs as needed
  • Inspect your smoke detectors. Make sure there is one on each floor of your home & change the battery annually
  • Check for damage to your roof, and clean gutters and downspouts to keep debris from accumulating...This is especially important during the fall season to keep leaves from building up in gutters
