 From the Office
Dear Parents,

Starting next Friday, parents will get a chance to sign up to work with their child in our Innovation Space in the media center on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 3:15 to 4:15 (to start March 15th).  We look forward to providing more information on this opportunity in the next Peek.

As mentioned earlier this spring, students in grades 3 to 5 will be taking the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA).  Grade 5 will take the one day Science CMT as well.  Most testing days will include one assessment.  The schedule for the SBAs is as follows:

Grade 5 only - March 16 - Science CMT
Grades 3, 4 and 5:
Week of 4/19 SBA ELA Assessments
Week of 4/25 SBA ELA Make-ups
Week of 5/3 SBA Math Assessments
Week of 5/9 SBA Math Make-ups

Fifth grade parents - A math transition assessment will be held March 10.  Please refer to the letter sent home electronically last week for more information.

All of the key Elementary Parent DLE (Digital Learning Environment) Workshop Presentations from this past month are available for your review here.  You will find them helpful in understanding better our work with students at school.

This Wednesday is an early release day at 1:15 for teacher professional learning around the district.  Our focus will be on the DLE goal of Personalized Learning. Teachers will be able to learn more about and practice using some of the key digital tools available to students to improve their work and strengthen student opportunities for personalized learning.

Sincerely,
Christopher Weiss
Principal
