Also, a big THANK YOU goes out to our many Riverside Run sponsors, many of which have supported this run for several years in a row. Finally, a special thank you to the many volunteers who helped make the day run so smoothly. We could not have put on such a fantastic event without you!!
Riverside has moved to single stream recycling
Starting this past Monday, Riverside School has moved to single stream recycling. We are the second school in the town to do so and we are thankful for all of the dedicated parents, teachers, and students who have worked to make our recycling efforts event better at Riverside. This week with single stream recycling in the cafeteria, we have had over a 50% reduction in our lunchtime garbage output! We had many people who helped make this possible including volunteers at lunch all this week, the PTA Green Committee, the Riverside Teachers' Green Committee, plus many, many other supporters. We are also doing single stream recycling in every classroom, which is further reducing our garbage. We are proud of all the efforts to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Help 5-S students make a difference in the world by collecting your bottles and cans with $.05 deposit and hard plastic bottle caps. Bring them to us at Riverside School between April 22nd and May 24th.
