Bible Prophecy is what sets the Bible apart from every other book on the planet.

Last Month's Kitchen Killers Article Last month opened a lot of eyes regarding the food we eat every day. Don't miss the follow-up article below-- "Biblical Food"

Biblical Food
Last month our main article originally was titled "Behold a Black Horse." But after doing the research on problems with our food supply and how/why food would become so scarce in the tribulation, I changed the title to "Kitchen Killers" as I found our food growing and production methods were, to say the lease, shocking! Click here if you missed it. Interestingly, that article turned out to be the most forwarded/circulated piece we've ever written.
Amazing. We write about hell, doctrine, Rapture, salvation, etc., and I get the biggest response on the food we eat! And 99% of our reply comments were positive, compared to about 80% normally.
Trying to actually use this information about what to eat is hard. I don't know about you, but trying to buy food without GMO poisons seems to be next to impossible. Susie and I've spent the last month shopping for food much differently. Mainly spending more time reading labels and groaning. :-( Turns out that GMO corn (poison) is in just about everything. I think half of the items in our grocery stores have some form of GMO corn in them. Drives you crazy. And don't waste your money on "gluten-free bread." Turns out that it doesn't even have wheat in it! The only one I've found so far tastes like baked dirt. I did my best to eat it but finally just gave up the ghost and threw it away. :-(
So we're now finding we have a lot fewer choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner... and paying a lot more for what we do purchase in the gluten free section or local health food store.
What does the Bible say about food and drink?
We know from scripture that Jesus ate broiled fish (obviously wild-caught). We know John the Baptist ate locusts and honey. I'll skip the locusts thank you!
Jesus drank fermented wine. I have to add "fermented" because so many Christians have been taught He drank grape juice. Not true. Grape juice only came about in the late 1800s when Pastor Welch found a way to keep grapes from naturally fermenting.
1Timothy 5:23 says, "Drink a little wine for your stomach's sake," so we encourage those who travel with us to the Holyland to drink a "little" wine at dinner each evening. It apparently works wonders in your digestive track. Makes for lively conversation too. :-)
We know Jesus ate lamb, bread, figs, nuts, roasted eggs, unleavened bread and olive oil at His passover meals. He would have also eaten most, if not all, of the food in the list below.
And finally, do realize that after the Rapture in the coming Tribulation, food prices will go off the charts as it will take a denarius, equal to a day's wage, just to pay for food.
"... I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; ..." Rev. 6:5-6
I take great comfort in the fact that Jesus promised that we are NOT appointed to the wrathful Tribulation, not any part of it. He specifically states that we'll have food up until the time of the Rapture. Jesus said that right up until the Rapture there would be: * Buying
* Selling
* Planting
* Harvesting
* Building
* Weddings
"For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. Matt. 24:37-39
"...they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building;" Luke 17:28
(More info on "Days of Noah"- Free download: Steeling Studies Vol 1, #3, "Noah Says Jesus is Pre-trib!" about 10 minutes long- Click here) | When people least expect it... BOOM! |
In other words, the Rapture will take the world by complete surprise just like the flood did. Imagine, it had never rained on the earth before the flood. Noah preached warnings to people for over 100 years while he built the ark, but no one listened. For God did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when He brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; 2Pet. 2:4-5So, Jesus says there will be an economy right up to the Rapture. We're NOT going to have to live in a radar-deflecting tent on a mountain top eating roots, or in a bunker eating freeze dried beans. There isn't a week that goes by that someone doesn't call or email me about why I don't believe the Church will go through the Tribulation. They seem to think it's rational to "prepare" for having to live through some or all of the Tribulation, "just to be safe." Really? You're living in the last of the last days and that's how you're going to spend your time? If Rapture is close, spending quality time loving on and praying for the salvation of your lost family, friends and neighbors is far more important than digging a "fraidy hole." So please, if you have a problem with pre-trib Rapture, take it up with the Lord. Yea, we WILL have trials on this earth, some quite difficult, but we'll never experience the horrific tribulation from God's wrath unleashed on this earth. We may experience economic ups and downs as countries have throughout history. We may see our money fail and a new currency implemented, as many countries have in the past. We may even face extreme persecution, as many Believers are suffering today around the world. We may even be thrown to the lions, as many Believers were in the past. But I will tell you unequivocally, Believers are NOT going through any part of the horrific future seven year tribulation! Because Jesus said we won't. We'll be "on the boat," so to speak... which is above the tribulation below. In the days of Noah, those who went through the door of the ark were safe. Once that door was shut, it was too late.
God was patient with his wrath until His time. He is patient now, waiting for the last soul to be saved, through the door named Jesus.
"... the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water. 1Pet. 3:20
Today, just like in Noah's day, few are listening to those preaching truth and righteousness. The Bible even predicts that there will be "mockers," sneering at the suggestion Jesus might come back at the Rapture for His Church. "Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation." 2Pet. 3:3-4
I hear mockers everywhere, everyday. I'm sure you hear them too. They are blinded by Satan's desire to rob you of your comfort and safety in Christ our Savior. Don't let them shake you. Titus 1:11
Rather, continue to trust in the Lord's refuge and keep your spiritual wits about you. The longer this thing strings out, the wilder it may become. And the more opportunities you'll have to testify to what the Lord has done in your life.
So keep your eyes on your future home where you can't even imagine how great it's going to be!! "THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM." 1Cor. 2:9 |

Palestinian Prisoners Released / To Be Released
The U.S. Government recently pushed for release of over 100 Arab/ Muslim prisoners from Israeli prisons in order to bribe the Arabs to sit at the peace table. Some have been released, some are released as progress is made on hammering out a peace treaty.
The list below of prisoners that Israel is having to release is mind-boggling. It is a testament to how far Israel will go in order to reach a peace agreement with the Arabs.
* Samir al-Na'neesh, 47, murdered an Israeli soldier. Once released, he was greeted like a conquering hero when he returned to his home in Ramallah. It was nothing short of a giant celebration when he and other released prisoners met their families. Fireworks and honking cars lasted into the night.
* Fayez Mutawi al-Khur, who murdered Menahem Dadon in Gaza in 1983.
* Salah Ibrahim Ahmed Mugdad, who murdered Israel Tenenbaum in Netanya by striking him on the head with an iron bar.
* Samir Nayef al-Na'neesh, who murdered IDF reservist Binyamin Meisner in 1989.
* Salameh Abdallah Musleh, who murdered Reuven David in 1991. * Salah Mahmoud Mukled, who stabbed to death his Jewish employer Yeshayahu Deutsch in 1993 in a Gush Katif greenhouse.
* Mohamed Abdel Majid Sawalha and Hosni Faregh Sawalha, who stabbed to death Baruch Yaacov Heisler on a bus in 1990.
* Midhat Fayez Barbakh, who stabbed to death his employer Moshe Beker in Rishon Lezion.
* Ali Ibrahim al-Rai, who murdered Moris Eisenstatt, 79, by striking him in the head with an axe as he sat on a public bench in Kfar Saba.
 * Faraj Saleh al-Rimahi, who murdered Avraham Kinstler, 84, with an axe. * Ala Eddin Ahmed Abu Sitteh and Ayman Taleb Abu Sitteh, who stabbed to death David Dadi, 43, and Hayim Weizman, 33, in their sleep in Ramle.
* Khaled Mohamed Asakreh, who stabbed to death French tourist Annie Ley.
* Nihad Yusef Jundiyeh and Mohamed Mahmoud Hamdiyeh, who stabbed to death Zalman Shlein.
But releasing these prisoners won't bring peace. Peace will only come when the Prince of Peace comes! As the old adage goes:
No Jesus, no real peace.
Know Jesus, know real peace.
Pray for the peace in Jerusalem! And for wisdom for American and Israeli political leaders.

Is Israel Safe To Visit?
Yes, we're heading over to Israel in about five weeks! And no, we're not deterred by anything written in the secular news! Most of that has little to do with where we're going and what we'll be doing. I think it's amazing that since 1948 when Israel became a nation again, not one tourist traveling on a "pilgrimage" to Israel (to see the holyland Biblical sites) has died from local hostilities (gunfire, bombs, terrorists, etc.). How many people have died coming to visit the U.S.? Am I claiming divine intervention? No, just giving you the facts. It's also a fact that most every person who visits Israel's Biblical sites wants to return to Israel again. On the contrary, every person who goes to Egypt does NOT want to return. |

Interesting that God says "those who bless Israel will be blessed."
It's quite the blessing to

Signs of Jesus' Return

God gave us Bible prophecy to prove He is God because no one can predict the future with 100% accuracy except God.
Nostradamus had about 5% of his quite vague prophecies come true. But the Bible has never missed one iota, even predicting names of people hundreds of years in advance.
It's interesting that over 25% of scripture is regarding short- or long-term prophecies. So it's hard to read much in the Bible that doesn't touch on Bible prophecy.
When we take groups to Israel, we always schedule a Bible study on the top of the Mount of Olives. It is a stunning view looking down Palm Sunday Road, across the Garden of Gethsemane toward the Old City and Temple Mount.
There's so much Bible history from that breath-

taking vantage point that it's always one of our longest Bible studies of the entire tour--and also the most interesting!
From there, you can see the locations of the first two Jewish Temples as well as trace the final week of Jesus prior to the cross. You can see from the Empty Tomb area on the right (north) to the Pool of Siloam on the left (south).
But sitting at the top of Mount of Olives also gives us pause to reflect on the story of Jesus riding humbly on the donkey in that very spot. In the middle of that fascinating event, the Bible says when Jesus saw that same view of Jerusalem, he wept bitterly. | Dome of the Rock with Mt. Olives behind |
"When He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, "If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes.... because you did not recognize the time of your visitation." Luke 19:41-42, 44
Jesus did more than weep. In English we would say "He sobbed." Jesus sobbed over the fact that the Jews missed the day that was fulfilled exactly as prophesied by Daniel.
Jesus held the Jews accountable for knowing their Bible, and specifically that He would come into Jerusalem on a donkey exactly 173,880 days (483 years) from the command to rebuild Jerusalem. Dan 9:24, Ezra 1:2, Zech 9:9
That was one incredibly specific prophecy. Jesus fulfilled it to the exact day. And the Jews missed it. It was there to read, and they missed it.
Jesus continued to fulfill numerous other very specific prophecies like: OT Prophecy/NT Fulfillment
>He was hated for no reason- Ps 35:19 /Jn 15:24
>He was betrayed by a friend- Ps 41:9/Lk 22:47
>Betrayed for 30 silver coins- Zech 11:12/Mt 26:15
>Crucified among criminals- Is 53:12
/Mk 15:27 >Pierced in hands and feet- Zech 12:10/Jn 20:27
>His clothing gambled away- Ps 22:17/Mt 27:35
>No broken bones- Ps 34:20/Jn 19:32
>Pierced through His side- Zech 12:10/Jn 19:34
>Buried with the rich- Is 53:9/Mt 27:57-60
In all there are some 300 prophecies regarding the first coming of the Messiah and they were all literally fulfilled exactly as written. Proof positive that the Bible can be trusted as God's Word.
There are also scores of prophecies regarding Israel's future in the latter days. Consider these seven prophecies:
1) Israel would return to their homeland after being scattered for about 2000 years. Hos 6:1-2
2) They would remain a pure race despite being scattered all over the earth. Ezek 38:8
3) They would take over their land in a day. Is 66:8
4) They would have a mighty army. Ezek 37:10 5) They would have nuclear weapons. Zech 14:12; Ezek 39:11-16
6) That the regathered nation would be a problem to the whole world. Zech 12:3
7) That the generation that saw the above prophecies come together would see the Messiah's return. Mt 24:34
Well, that "generation" would be us. We saw those things come together. This generation today will see the Messiah return. Awesome!
There are also prophecies about what it will be like just before the end of the Church Age. The Church Age is defined as the time between the arrival (Pentecost) and departure (Rapture) of God's Holy Spirit Who permanently indwells Believers.
Those latter day prophecies include:
>World moving toward a one-world government. Rev 13:12
 > Television/Images of one person can be seen worldwide. Rev 13:15
>Knowledge will be increased. Dan 12:4
>Persia (Iran) and Gog (Russia) will be Israel's enemies possessing nuclear weapons. Ezk 38,39
>The account of God's creation in Genesis will be scorned. 2Pet 3:4-6
>Moving toward a
cashless society. Rev 13:16
> Israel will be a burdensome stone.
Zech 12:3
>Emphasis on worldly riches. Ja 5:1-5,
2Tim 3:2
>Ten countries of the Old Roman Empire
will come together again. Dan 2:28, 41; Rev 17:12
>Self will be more important than God. 2 Tim 3:2-4
>Worldwide interconnected economy. Rev 18:11
