Indorama Ventures announce that they are increasing capacity of staple fiber at their Spartanburg S.C. plant by 15,000 tons per year.


AKC Note: It is interesting that the press release talks of PLA, specialty polyesters and recycled polyester being part of the expansion. This announcement comes after both the other major U.S. polyester staple producers (DAK and Na Ya) announced expansions and there is also a project to restart an existing closed polyester staple plant in the U.S.
