Fruit of the Loom and Parkdale America announce a strategic partnership;

AKC Note: The article states that Parkdale America is acquiring the Fruit of the Loom yarn spinning operations and indicates that they will modernize them with the latest technology in open end and ring spinning. The strategic partnership will make Parkdale the main supplier of spun yarns to Fruit. This is a model that Parkdale has followed in some earlier partnerships and further enhances the position of Parkdale as one of the largest yarn spinners in the World. It is understood that Fruit has spinning plants in Leesburg, AL and Williamston, NC and the current employees will be given the opportunity to remain at the plants as employees of Parkdale.
