According to local media in NC, the Performance Fibers plant in Moncure, NC will be closing on October 30th.

AKC Note: This appears to be a more rapid closure of Moncure than was first indicated. Our News Update of May 5th linked to the initial reporting of the planned closure of Moncure and the transfer of product (and some jobs) to the Salisbury, NC plant. At the time the expectation was that plant closure would be in 12 - 15 months from May, but it would appear that the product transition has gone faster than expected allowing for this earlier closure date.
