The A&E web site has an announcement confirming that they have entered into an agreement to purchase the sewing thread business of Gutermann Holdings.

AKC Note: Gutermann is a renowned German producer of sewing threads with a 150 year experience in the business and global manufacturing. This is a significant acquisition for A&E and sends a very strong signal to the industry of the strength and commitment under the new ownership of A&E by KPS Capital Partners who purchased the company from Ruddick Corporation at the end of 2011.
