Suminoe Textiles announce an expansion at their South Carolina plant for automotive carpeting:

AKC Note: There has been a recent significant shift in automotive carpeting away from the traditional tufted nylon construction to a polyester needle punched nonwoven construction. Most of the lower priced vehicle new models are equipped with this type of carpeting - similar to European auto carpeting standards. The expansion is reported to create 100 additional jobs.
