The Mid-America Chapter of American Translators Association (MICATA) is holding its Annual Symposium this month. It will be held March 27-29, 2015 in Overland Park in Kansas and early bird registration ends tomorrow (March 14).

Snow is receding in most places in the United States. But New York City was hit hard this year (like so much of the U.S.). To bring back our last memories of winter and also learn something, we can take a look at this sign language interpreter for New York Mayor Bill De Blasio. This interpreter "wowed the web."

The interpreter, Jonathan Lamberton, was there to help the mayor communicate to the Deaf and hard of hearing some of the hazards of an upcoming wicked snow storm. And by golly he did. It's a great story with great video.
