Top 10 Tips: Love To Not Waste Your Time
| |
1. When you sit at your desk, make a commitment to begin work within 5-10 minutes of sitting. It's easy to get distracted with social media, Youtube, irrelevant emails, etc. Set a timer if needed.
2. End your workday at a specified time without letting work spill into the evening, impacting your dinner, family, or "you" time.
3. Set reminders on your phone and computer before a meeting, task, break, etc. 75 minutes before you need to take action.
4. Block out distractions, whether deleting apps on your phone or computer, or making a commitment to not visit certain websites during office hours. Eliminate your most used "time wasters."
5. Prioritize what's important to you before your day begins. Use deadlines, time needed to accomplished tasks, and the time of other people that may need to be involved as factors to consider when prioritizing. What is the most important and urgent?
