A few words from Regina....

It's May...a lovely month for a play on the word:

May all your needs be met.

May your road to a clear path give you clarity.

May this be the time to start your new project.

May all your de-clutter dreams come true.

Much of our clutter, it seems, is the result of not giving ourselves permission to let it go, give it up, and get it out. Many of my clients ask, "If I haven't used it for _____, is it okay to let go of this old ...  bowl? dress? ski gear?

The first time a client asked if it was okay to let go of something, I wondered how I had become the gate-keeper. But I now understand that many people are afraid to make a "wrong decision." There are no wrong decisions, so I now encourage clients, friends, and yes, even family members to give themselves permission to do whatever they want with their things that no longer serve body, mind, or spirit.

Our May 2015 Clear Path tips gives you many opportunities to consider the  ways you may give yourself permission to carry out a life that fits.

May you stay Organized!

Love,

Regina

Top 10 Tips: May You Maintain Your Clear Space

1. Find your motivation. Why does an organized home and life matter to you? Maybe it's the sense of accomplishment you feel, or the look of an organized closet that was messy just 30 minutes ago. Getting started is often he best motivation.

2. Each morning review what you have planned for the day. Is it realistic? Do you have time to clear your head or squeeze in a workout? It helps to write down what you need to do for the day and then determine the order in which you can complete the tasks.

3. Pick the most important or painstaking task for the day and decide how you will complete it. Ideally, we recommend to do this task first. However, sometimes it helps to work when we are at our most productive. If you happen to be a night owl and find yourself accomplishing more at 8 PM, do the task then. Find what location and time you can get the most done and use it to your advantage.

4. Enlist help as needed. Just as accountability partners help you stay motivated to work out, they can also help in your organizing endeavors. Call, text, or e-mail your accountability partner with your organizing accomplishments of the day. If all else fails, e-mail regina@aclearpath.net for a free consultation.

5. Plan ahead. This can mean meal-prepping, selecting clothes the night before, etc. The less we need to think about the day, the more brain capacity we will have to make better decisions.
