Meet Phil
Phil Bedford is one of the familiar faces you'll see in the afternoons at Flatirons Running!  His vast knowledge and experiences with running make him a perfect team member!  Phil was recently interviewed by Over the Top's host George Thomas and created a podcast for your listening pleasure.  Get to know Phil in this week's Flatirons Running radio podcast.

 
Pearl Izumi Women's Ultra Jacket
Hit the trails with this stylish and functional jacket from Pearl Izumi. It provides excellent protection from both wind and water, is breathable and extremely lightweight. This weeks sponsor is Pearl Izumi, so swing by to try out any of several road and trail shoes.  The weather is getting cooler and the sun goes down quicker, so from this week til Memorial Day, we will be starting and ending at the store. Under the Sun will be providing their delicious wood-fired pizza for all runners after the run at Flatirons Running!

Start your morning off the right way with an hour trail run, all levels welcome!  Start at the NCAR trailhead and afterwords meet back at Flatirons Running for coffee, bagels and social time!

Friday, Oct 10th Yoga
8:45am at Flatirons Running - $5 and bring your own mat
Join us for our weekly 'yoga for runners' session in the store. Stretch and strengthen those muscles that runners often ignore. Instructor, Erin Roy will leave you feeling great and ready for the day.  Complimentary coffee and bagels follow class.

Denver Rock-n-Roll 2014 Flatirons Running will be at the Denver Rock-n-Roll Marathon on October 19th!  Show us a picture of yourself at the event with your Flatirons Running t-shirt, hat, visor or gloves, and you'll receive 10% off on your next shopping spree at the store!  You have one more week to purchase something that shows your support for Flatirons Running and get ready for the race!  Best of luck to everyone participating!! Trail Running Tips Runner on fall day
The Fall season is an amazing time to get out and go for a trail run!  The cooler temperatures, beautiful Colorado colors and plenty of enthusiasts to keep you company!  What do you need to be aware of however?  With the ground being covered with leaves, it sometimes disguises what is really there.  Be careful with your footing and invest in an actual trail shoe.  Most times of the year, you can get away with wearing a road shoe on the trails in and around Boulder, but in the Fall, we highly suggest a trail shoe.  The rock plates will help protect your feet from the hidden rocks and twigs that can sometimes sneak up on you.
