There's an exercise that I do which gets me really clear on how I want my life and my business to be, which I'll share in a moment.
Why did you go into business for yourself to begin with?
- Freedom?
- Flexibility
- Happiness?
- Success
- To Express Your Gifts and do what you really desire?
If you're not getting those results or your were at one time but you're not still getting them, then you can change it. If you don't, it's like you're still working for someone else-just that your boss has changed. If you're your own boss, you're not really benefiting fully if you don't take the time to look at how much you enjoy the activities you're doing. And, it's not just activities. Yes, you do need to look at whether you're doing things you don't like or aren't good at and see if there are things you should be deciding to have someone else do.
But, you also need to look and see if you're stepping into the highest vision of what your gifts are and what your business can be.
When you do this, I recommend setting aside time to really envision how you want to spend your days. Get into the details of how you spend your day and what your surroundings look like and who is in your life. Remember, you're envisioning the perfect day, week, month, year!
I have a more detailed exercise that I have my private clients complete but there is enough information here for you to look at your life and business and see if your perfect day coincides with what is really happening in your business now.
Once you identify what it looks like ideally, it's time to make some decisions about how to create that in your life.

It's time to really get into your expertise and your brilliance. If you have a gift and a brilliance and you're not sharing it, you're hiding your light. It's time to jump into the sunset! And, shine as brightly as you desire. In your secret thoughts. The ones you're afraid to mention or you're not so sure about.
