Today, Joseph knows
he has a choice

Twelve-year-old Joseph witnessed his father physically and mentally abuse his mother for many years. When he came to her defense, his father threw him through a glass door and down a flight of stairs.

With the help of The Shelter's Raising Gentle'men advocates, Joseph learned that men can be gentle, compassionate and kind. Today, he has the tools needed to break free from his father's example and forge his own pathway to peace.

Your support is helping to empower future generations to challenge male and female stereotypes for a more peaceful society.
