Introducing the BlueBot!
   BlueBot 4-in-1 Robotics Kit
Using the new BlueBot 4-in-1 Robotics Kit from the Science Buddies Store, students can build four different robots, one at a time, with radically different behaviors. With this introductory kit, students explore different sensors and circuits as they build and test a Guard Bot, a Line-following Robot, a Light-tracking Robot, and an Obstacle-avoiding Robot. Which one is the most fun? Which moves fastest? Which has the coolest behavior? Build them all and find out!

Learn more about the BlueBot 4-in-1 Robotics Kit in this overview video.

Development of the BlueBot 4-in-1 Robotics Kit was supported by the Best Buy Foundation.

Teach Engineering Design with a Dancing Robot Project!

Flippy, the Dancing Robot Engineering Design Project Teaches Troubleshooting and Innovation

Building and improving Flippy, a dancing robot whose legs fly off when his battery pack is turned on, is a great way to teach lessons related to engineering and troubleshooting. Flippy is an easy robotics project, and building the robot uses a simple circuit. Once Flippy is put together, students are challenged to find ways to improve the robot so that it stays together when dancing. This is a fantastic hands-on project for the classroom or at home!

Making Science Connections

Zombie Survival Science Project Ideas
An understanding of electronics, chemistry, physics, and other STEM subjects may improve your odds of survival if zombies come to town. Check our fun roundup for projects you can try now that might help in a zombie apocalypse.
Compare Circumference and Diameter with String Science Activity
Explore properties of a circle, just like mathematicians do, to identify the relationship between the diameter of a circle and circumference.

Survey Science

Asking Questions and Analyzing Answers to Test a Hypothesis
Using a survey to gather data for a science project can be a lot of fun, but successful survey science takes careful preparation, planning, and data analysis.
Taste Tests and Other Science Projects with Volunteers
Doing testing with volunteers can be a key component for projects exploring human behavior and perception, human biology, or food sciences.

Tell Us About Your Science Projects!

Send us photos of your classroom or student science projects and activities. Your students may end up featured in a success story on the Science Buddies Blog, in the spotlight at FacebookTwitter, Google+, or in the Science Buddies newsletter. Let us know, in photos, how the science project went!
