2012 doubles
City Tournament Planning Meeting
 
Everyone is invited to join us for the City Tournament Planning Meeting on Wednesday, February 6, 7:30pm, at the Rec & Ed offices at Pioneer High School (park in the lot off S. Seventh).
 
The four tournaments (Adult Mixed Doubles, Adult Doubles, Adult Singles, and Junior) will be held in June and July 2013. The City Tournament is YOUR tournament, and we would love your input while planning this year's tournament to make it a big success!

2013 AAACTA Board of Directors
 
We are pleased to announce the 2013 AAACTA Board. The officers will be Barbara Wasneski, President; Linda Woodland, Vice President; Helen Peters, Treasurer; and Carol Luckenbach, Secretary. 
 
Welcome back returning board members Sandell Bennett, Irfan Bhabhrawala, Heather Conway, Heidi Kerst, Anne-Marie Kim, Jody Linn, Michael Merriweather, Barbara Mueller, Janet Remen, Jeff Rhodes, Susan Schultz, Lauren Segall, Vanda Shadigian, and Nathalie Vandecan.
 
And a very hearty welcome to new board members Patty Ferguson, Anne Giordani, Jaye Kain, Ralph McKee, and Rossen Nedeltchev.

AAACTA Membership Expiration Policy
 
We are changing our membership expiration policy, effective immediately. All memberships will now run from May 1 to April 30. Anyone who joined AAACTA in the 6-month period before May 1, 2013, will get a few months free as their membership will expire April 30, 2014.
 
If your membership has lapsed or you are not currently a member of AAACTA, take advantage of this grace period and join online today at AAACTA's website. It only costs $15/year for an individual or $20/year for a family!
 
Membership advantages include
  • supporting AAACTA's activities, especially the Middle School Tennis Program and the Junior Tournament
  • reduced City Tournament registration fees
  • invitations to special events for players of all ages

College Tennis in the Ann Arbor Area 
 
Collegiate spring tennis is starting to heat up. The admission to the home matches is free and the tennis is amazing!

The University of Michigan Men's and Women's teams play their home matches at the Varsity Tennis Center, 2250 S. State St. Ann Arbor. Both teams are currently ranked in the top 20 in the country. To watch a match, check out the U of M Men's Tennis schedule or the U of M Women's Tennis schedule. You can follow the Men's team and the Women's team on Facebook.

 

 

 


EMU logo The Eastern Michigan Women's team plays their home matches at the Chippewa Club, 2525 Golfside Rd, Ypsilanti. To watch a match, check out the EMU Women's Tennis schedule. You can also attend their fundraiser featuring doubles and drills with the team on Saturday, February 16, 7:30-10:00pm, at the Chippewa Club.
