Seeing is Believing: Why Visuals Work in PowerPoint
Effective Visuals Get Your Message Across Fast and Easy

In our digital, always-on world, visual communication is preferred because it helps us distinguish valuable info from "background noise" in literally the blink of an eye.

The same holds true in the presentation room. Here you've got limited time and competition from other distractions, so you need to get your message across fast and easy. And although text and visuals are both useful, visuals have several distinct advantages over text.

In this post we look at why images have the advantage and how you can make them work for your presentation. Read more.

eSlide's Quick Tip of the Month
Apply a Gradient or Picture Across Multiple Objects
Ever need a gradient to spread across multiple objects like a spectrum? If so, you may have received unwanted results like this:
You could painstakingly figure out each color start and stop and apply to each piece or simply group the objects and then apply the gradient.
This is as easy as selecting the individual objects, right-clicking and then selecting "Group" on the drop down menu. Right-click the grouped objects again and select "Format Shape" on the drop down menu. The Format Shape pane will pop up and under the bucket FILL icon select "Gradient fill". The gradient color will now span across all the objects.
Applying a picture across multiple objects is the same process as the gradient tip above. Once you group your objects you can format them to fill with a picture and create an image background that spreads across the whole group of objects.
Note: If you UNGROUP the objects, each piece will revert back to an individual gradient or picture.
