eSlide's Quick Tip of the Month
Shape Drawing in PowerPoint: Quick, Orderly Duplication
To quickly duplicate a shape and constrain the duplicate vertically or horizontally, select the shape and hold CTRL+SHIFT and drag the shape up, down, left or right. When you release the mouse a duplicate is deposited in a new location.
If you accidentally stop pressing CTRL+SHIFT, you'll just wind up moving the object instead of duplicating it. This is a fast way to create a visually organized group of shapes.
