In 1954, Russell started working at the distillery and learned the distilling trade under Bourbon legends Bill Hughes and Ernest W. Ripy. His son and Master Distiller, Eddie Russell, selected the 13-16 year-old barrels that were used to produce Diamond Anniversary." 91 Proof

"Medium-dark ruby; attractive, fragrant, blackberry fruit aroma with hints of mocha and dried herbs; full body; tight, cedary, cassis, dark cherry, and blackberry fruit flavors showing some richness and depth; full tannin; lingering aftertaste. Approachable now though will benefit with a few more years of bottle aging."
