 Arabic Language, Arts and Culture Course at Northeast High School
We're pleased to be at Philadelphia public school NEHS for the 2nd year, offering a daily class taught by a team of Al-Bustan teaching artists and educators. This year we are serving two classes of 10th graders, thanks to the continued support of Qatar Foundation International.

Philadelphia Arab Music Ensemble in Progress 
On Monday evenings since early September, a group of dedicated singers, instrumentalists, and percussionists gather at Penn's Music Building to immerse themselves in a wide range of classical and contemporary Arab music. As one choir member, Chrissy Steele, tells us:

Spotlight on Motivation High School
Al-Bustan's partnership with Motivation High School continues to flourish. The school's Arabic language teacher, Melika Komrokian, explained the significance of music for her students:
My students are extremely proud of themselves while learning, demonstrating and performing. Percussion helps them to have high self-esteem. Read more.

Husnu Senlendirici opens Arab Music Concert Series on a High Note
Şenlendirici enthralled the audience, comprised of old and new fans, with his celebration of Turkish and Arab music and their shared roots.

Al-Bustan's Resident Takht Ensemble at Lehigh University
The ensemble performed two concerts with Lehigh Choral Arts, as part of Lehigh's celebration of the confluence of Arab, Christian and Jewish cultures in 9th to 15th-century Andalusia.
